Your week: My Shifts

For Student Workers

Your week: My Shifts

Reading your own week: what you are scheduled for, what you picked up, and what you dropped.

This page is a placeholder. Its structure is fixed; the writing lands in a later phase.

My Shifts is your week in three groups: picked up, dropped, and scheduled, top to bottom.

Do it

  1. Open My Shifts , the first tab.

  2. Check the week navigator. It sets which week every group below shows.

A shift you picked up for next week files there, not here.

  3. Tap a shift to hand it off.

One sheet holds both dropping and swapping.

What you’ll see

The hours total covers the week shown, against that week’s cap. Caps are set per week, so the number moves as you navigate.

Marks on a card

MarkWhat it means
Small circleYou claimed this seat yourself.
A house nameThat house’s desk, not your own.
Golden borderA break shift, outside your normal pattern.
Light purple

Another desk for this stretch. Same hours, different house.

(Pending)

A float you have not answered. Answer by 10 minutes before it starts.

Rules that apply

  • Hours at another desk still count at your home house, so this one total is your whole week. See Hours, caps, and attribution.
  • The screen updates itself. The calendar is the source of truth, so a swap or float lands without a refresh.

If it goes wrong

A shift is missing. Check the week navigator first.

A shift you dropped is gone. Somebody claimed it, or Allied covered it, and a seat has one owner. Claim one back only while it is still open. See Core concepts.

A card names a house that is not yours. You picked that shift up there, or you were floated.
