Generating a proposed draft week from submitted preferences, and reading what the proposal left open before you accept it.

The schedule generator drafts a full week from submitted preferences that you edit and publish.
Do it
- Open the builder on the house and week.
Select Generate with AI and leave the tab open. Days fill into the grid as they are built.
- Read the open-seat list first.
- Select Accept as draft to keep it, or Discard to drop it.
What you’ll see
A scored draft and its unfilled seats. Each says whether anyone available could have worked it.
Shifts run at least two hours, on the hour except at desk open and close.
Rules that apply
- Hard rules are enforced, not scored. Harnwell training, headcount, block boundaries, hours caps, and availability constrain the generator, so a proposal breaking one never reaches you. See Core concepts.
- Coverage beats preference, deliberately. An empty seat leaves the desk unstaffed, so no preference gain can buy one. See How a shift gets covered.
- Generating is gated like building. An SM generates for their own house; HM, BA, RSM, and Administrator for any house. It grants no authority you lack. See Roles and the duty hierarchy.
If it goes wrong
Generate is disabled. No scheduling period covers this week, or the preference deadline is still open, since building starts only when it closes.
Seats are still open. Fill them by hand, or publish them as claimable.
You stopped the run. Stop keeps the days already built. Stop and clear keeps nothing.
