What you’ll see
The card reads Claiming this shift until confirmed. Only then is it yours.
A permanent pickup names how many weeks you get and which it skips.
Rules that apply
- A permanent pickup takes only what fits. A week you already work keeps the hours that do not clash. A week over your cap is dropped whole, because one tap commits you to months. See Hours, caps, and attribution.
- A skipped week is not held for you. A part pickup is final, so each returns in the weekly feed.
- One week over a soft cap is your call. Claim anyway takes it. A hard cap refuses, because that limit takes no override.
- Only Harnwell workers may take Harnwell shifts. That desk needs training; every other house is open to you. See Core concepts.
- Locked means gone for good. A desk that would otherwise sit empty locks two hours before its shift. See How a shift gets covered.
If it goes wrong
No longer available. A card marked “2 open” holds two seats; the first two taps take them.
Refused for a clash. You already hold something at that time, at any house.
