For Managers
Building a schedule
Drafting one template week for a house from the preferences your workers submitted, before any of it reaches a phone.
This page is a placeholder. Its structure is fixed; the writing lands in a later phase.
The schedule builder turns submitted preferences into one drafted template week.
As an SM you build your own house only. HM, BA, RSM, and Administrator build any house.
Do it
Open Schedule builder after the submission deadline. Preferences freeze then, so nothing moves under you.
Drag a span down a day column, one to six hours.
Pick a name from the Preferences card. Each name shows its span status and hours remaining against target.
Switch to Manual for anyone the card will not let you pick.
What you’ll see
The tag reads Draft until you publish, so nothing here reaches a worker or coverage.
Seats you leave empty open for claiming at publish, which is how later hires get hours.
Rules that apply
- Blocked is a hard stop in Preferences , advisory in Manual , which makes you confirm the override.
- A worker who submitted nothing is blocked too, because the system will not hand you time they never affirmed.
- The school year’s 20 hour cap is soft, so going over target only warns you. Forty hours is a hard ceiling and refuses. See Hours, caps, and attribution.
If it goes wrong
A name is missing from the card. They submitted nothing. Use the Manual roster.
A name is there but will not click. They marked cannot, or left a block unmarked, in your span.
The save was refused. You are an SM on another house. Ask its SM.
