Launching a house
Taking a house live: what its workers see before that happens, and what starts running the moment it does.
This page is a placeholder. Its structure is fixed; the writing lands in a later phase.
Launching a house makes it visible to its workers and starts the coverage chain on its desk.
Do it
- Sign in as the Administrator.
- Open Launch and turn on Staggered launch .
- Confirm the house has a published schedule.
- Set that house’s toggle to Live .
What you’ll see
The house’s tag flips to Live , and its workers get their week instead of the not-yet-on-the-system screen. Launching creates and changes no shift.
Rules that apply
- Only the Administrator can change launch state, or the master switch behind it. No reason for that limit is recorded anywhere, so treat it as fixed. See Which manager are you?.
- A new house starts pre-launch, so a house you are setting up stays dark.
- Managers are never gated. Build and publish a pre-launch house before any worker sees it. See Publishing a schedule.
- Automated floating needs a second live house. With one, the float step finds nobody and is skipped, while broadcast and the Allied page still run. See Floating.
If it goes wrong
Every house reads live and the toggles do nothing. The master switch is off by default, and it overrides every house toggle.
The console refuses you. You are not the Administrator. Ask them.
A house went live too early. Set it back to pre launch: workers go dark, escalation stops, and the first launch date is kept.
