Publishing a schedule
What publishing does to a built week: it goes live, every assigned worker is notified, and the period cannot be unpublished.
Publishing turns your drafted template week into live shifts for the whole period.
Do it
- Check the house switcher and the template week in the builder.
- Select Publish .
- Read the dialog, then confirm.
What you’ll see
Your template week stamps across every week of the period. Seats you left empty stay open for claiming, which is how later hires get hours.
Rules that apply
- An SM publishes their own house only. HM, BA, RSM, and Administrator publish any house, on the same cross-house schedule authority that lets them override it. See Roles and the duty hierarchy.
- Nobody can silence the “Schedule published” notification, because a worker who misses it does not know they are on the desk. See What triggers a notification.
- The pattern repeats by weekday and time, not by date. One drafted Tuesday fills every Tuesday left in the period, so a clock change never moves a 9:00 start. See The operating calendar.
If it goes wrong
Publish was refused. You are an SM viewing another house. Switch back, or ask that house’s SM or HM.
